Jacket Backs Primed For Season Opener

What the Jacket backs lack in size and speed they more than make up for with a fierce competitive
spirit that over the long run could spell the difference between victory and defeat.

ONE THING for sure no game will be lost in the locker room this year at Leesburg High. They're going to
have to ship the Orange and Black on the field of play this year to beat them.

Their powerful slot I offense with it's several options features, the hard running
Henry Daniels as their
number one slot back. He is one of the best competitors on the Jacket squad and gives out with 100
plus percent all the time. This senior letterman runs pass pattern after pass pattern all afternoon
without slowing down and then comes back for more. His best weight is 160 lbs.

Right behind Daniels in the number two slot back spot is another 160 pounder. He is sophomore
Steve Neiford who lacks the varsity experience that Daniels has but has shown up good enough so far
that he will move in to play guard with the defensive unit.

At Fullback senior letterman Mark Lampp will be lugging the leather. At 170 lbs. he has the ability to hit
quick and is rated as one of the most powerful runners on the squad this year. He is another one who
comes up with that 100 plus percent all the time. This is hard to beat no matter what the name of the
game is. He will move to an end position with the defensive unit, a position where he got plenty of
experience last year.
