Following the kickoff the visitors took to the air in an effort to catch up. Yeakleg fired a twenty five yard
strike to Slotback Pilcer and they had a first down at the Leesburg forty three. Yeakleg scampered ten
yards for a first down to the Jackets twenty six and a penalty got them another first down at the thirteen.
A pass complete to Picher got them to the one and Baggett blasted over for the score Yeakleg ran the
point to make it Leesburg 13, Cocoa Beach 7.

The Jackets drove back from their own thirty nine following the kickoff into Minutemen territory with
Baggett coming up with a key interception as the first quarter ended. He carried all the way back to the
Leesburg forty-two before he was hauled down. Their TD came on a forty yard pass play complete to
split end Bob Foster. A run for the point failed and it was all evened up at 13-13.

Following this the two teams exchanged punts until the Minutemen took to the air again. This time they
started from their own forty-two with Yeakleg hitting Nickols for thirty two yards to get them a first down
and then chucking to Nickols on a screen pass play that covered thirty four yards for the score. The kick
by Foster was good and the visitors went ahead to stay.

Behind 20 to 13 the Jackets took to the air themselves with Lowry hitting Daniels for seventeen yards
and a first down at the visitors forty one and then connecting on another serial good for eight yards to
the thirty three. Their drive stalled however and they were forced to kick. Cocoa Beach put the ball in play
at their own fourteen and with time running out in the first half put the ball in the air againa. A screen
pass from Yeakleg to Pilcher a was good for fifty four yards and a first down at the Leesburg thirty two.
Their TD came on a pass to Foster that covered the rest of the way. Foster picked up the point with his
soccer style place kick and it was Cocoa Beach 27, Leesburg 13 at the half.

In the third quarter when the Minutemen were stalled at midfield they were forced to punt and Leesburg
put the ball in play at their own twenty five. Lowry took to the air and picked up ten yards and then hit his
split end David McComb with a pass that was good for forty one yards and a first down at the Cocoa
Beach thirty four. They got another first down at the twenty four and
Fullback Mark Lampp carried all the
way to the two before he was nailed. He picked up the TD from there though. A pass for the point failed
and it was Cocoa Beach 27, Leesburg 19.

The Minutemen took the ensuing kickoff in for the score. They started from their own thirty three and
stayed on the ground until they got to the Jackets twenty nine. From here Yeakleg found Pilcher with a
pass that was good for the score. The kick by Foster made it Cocoa Beach 34, Leesburg 19, and ended
the scoring for the night.
