Leesburg vs Eustis, High School Football Game

D-Day Nears For Archrivals

"I've been waiting an entire year for this game. I just hope It's a good one."

Those were the words of a Leesburg High fan this week in reference to tomorrow night's Yellow Jacket
clash with Eustis Panthers at Memorial Field. But only the first of his two statements is correct.

HE'S RIGHT. Leesburg fans have waited an entire year to avenge last year's 28-0 Eustis win. But for
that second part, well, everybody knows it IS going to be a good game. There's just no way it can't be.

Eustis has the edge in record and statistics. Leesburg has the home field advantage and the incentive.

More important, it's homecoming for the Yellow Jackets.

At Approximately 9 p.m. tomorrow night, a new Leesburg High homecoming queen will be crowned.
But somehow, that will be insignificant to the 4,500 fans expected for the game. It could well be the
largest turnout ever for a football contest at Memorial Field.
