BABYJACKETS TAKE HARD GAME, 36 TO 0, FROM CENTER
HILL

Lopsided Count Doesn't Tell Story of How Battle Raged

CENTER HILL - Leesburg Babyjackets yesterday at Center Hill were victorious in a hard-fought but one
sided game, and returned home with a score of 36 to 0 in their belts. Cherry, Bivins, Hunt, and Pfiefer
were responsible for the scoring of touchdowns, Cherry scoring two. To Hannah, Cherry, and Barcus
goes the honor of making the extra points, Barcus scoring two. A touchback accounted for the balance
of the scoring.

The score barely indicates the battle that rage on the Center Hill grounds, Nor can the Center Hill team
be criticized for its showing. Their inexperience was plainly in evidence and costly fumbles and
penalties combined with the superior experience of the Leesburg lightweights were too much of a
handicap for the Bean City lads.

Leesburg players tore through for gains and the line experienced little trouble in making holes for them.
Polk, Pfiefer and Cherry alternating on runs around end and straight line plays, with good interference
by Hunt, Barcus and McInnis. Bivens pulled the surprise of the game after he had been playing tackle
for the first three quarters and was shifted to fullback. With 20 seconds and 20 yards to go he took the
ball through center for the last touchdown of the game. Farrell and Hanford were responsible for the
hole that was made, each showing throughout the game promise of future starring.

Leesburg was represented by the following players: Hunt, re; Bivens, rt; Stewart, rg; Farrell, c; Hanford,
lg; Stinson, lt; Barcus, le;' McInnis, qb; Pfiefer, lh; Cherry, rh; A. Polk, fb.

Numerous substitutions throughout the game included, Lipton, Hannah, Pauling, Gallaway, Mason, S.
Herlong and Cowles.
