CHAMBER OF MOUNT DORA IS BOOSTER OF
LEESBURG TEAM

The Leesburg Morning Commercial
Sunday, November 20, 1927

Coach Banning, of the Leesburg high school football team, was gratified Saturday by receipt of
letter from Frank H. Heath, secretary of the Mt. Dora chamber of commerce, containing a message
which was greatly appreciated by the players when it was conveyed to them.

Characteristic of the friendly feeling which exists between Leesburg and Mt. Dora, and is held by
this city for all other Lake County communities, Mr. Heath's communication is regarded by
members of the high school faculty and of the Leesburg Rotary club, sponsoring the athletic
program, as an expression which they are entitled to value highly. It said:

"This office desires to extend to yourself and the Leesburg high school football team our genuine
appreciation of the finest team in central Florida, particularly in Lake county, and we want you to feel
that all of Mt. Dora is pulling for you to take top honors in the state title race."
