Faculty Entertainment To Raise Funds For Players Sweaters

LEESBURG - Football boys of the Leesburg Yellowjackets paraded through the business section of the
city Monday headed by a cornet and a snare drum. The boys were using this little publicity stunt to help
sell tickets for the play that will be presented at the High School Auditorium by members of the faculty
for the purpose of raising funds to buy football sweaters.

While the members of the team were parading up and down Main street, members of the girls
basketball team were selling tickets for the coming play, explaining to the purchasers the situation,
and funds to buy football sweaters.

Captain Brown of the football team, and president of the Athletic association, said that the school
treasury is defunct, and as it is the custom to award players on the team with a sweater in the school
colors, it is imperative that we secure the funds to purchase them. We will appreciate it much if the
townspeople buy tickets for the play from the football boys, as it will aid the cause.

"The Whole Town is Talking" is said be one of the best plays to appear on a local stage, and as
members of the faculty have had considerable experience in dramatic work it promises to be a huge
success. This play will be given at the High School Auditorium on Wednesday and Thursday evening,
Jan. 26 and 27, and will begin at 8 o'clock.
