Leesburg's football season swings into full action today with the departure of the Leesburg Yellow
jackets for the Rotary training camp at Eaton's Beach. The Rotarians voted yesterday to sponsor
athletics in the high school and as a beginning have completed all arrangements for the regular
football squad of the Leesburg high school to train for 10 days preliminary to the opening of school, at
Eaton's Beach. The Yellowjackets will load up their beds, bedding and culinary equipment today at
noon and journey out to Lake Weir for ten days of intensive training. This will be the first year that the
local team has had the advantage of a pre-season training camp and with only two of the regular team
of last year out of the line out, Coach Banning is predicting one of the strongest teams ever turned out
by the Orange and Black.

The boys have been working hard all summer and as a result minary to the opening of school at are in
tip top condition. Capt. Ling and several of the men that played regular last year have been busy
scouting all summer and several players from near by are entering the local school this fall, in fact if
rumors prove to be facts there are several of last years squad who are going to hustle to hold their
places on this year's team.

Ten games have been scheduled for this season and as six of the games are at home, local football
fans will have plenty of opportunity to see the Yellowjackets in action.
