Gainesville punted and Jenkins returned the punt to the 50-yard line. He was tackled hard. Thornton
was substituted for Anderson and McCormick for McGulf. Time out for Gainesville. Leesburg passed
and completed, but fumbled and it was Gainesville's ball. Gainesville failed to gain and kicked
Leesburg's ball on their 30-yard line.

Second Quarter

The second quarter started with Leesburg second down and on their 29-yard line. Harris for Means,
Gainesville. Leesburg took time out, Jenkins lost his wind. Leesburg at this time looked impressive
and started a drive that only ended with a fumble on the two yard line. This probably was the climax of
the Leesburg offensive. Cahill took the ball around left end for a pretty run of 20 yards which brought
Leesburg to the eight yard line, four downs and a goal to make. Gainesville men took time out and
came back with fire in their eyes.
