High "Subs" Are To Play Tavares

Locals Defeated In The Last Game But Are Out To Win

Leesburg "baby" Yellowjackets will today at 4 o'clock at Cooke's park play a return game with the
recently organized Tavares high school football players. The previous game had resulted in a win for
Tavares and the Leesburg second team is said to be primed to take the scalp of their county seat
opponents.

The local boys have perfected several new plays and with a week's practice in the arts of interference,
line charging, and blocking, look ready for the fray. Coach Hope stated that his boys were over-confident
in the last game and that the local subs now are ready to play real football.

Little has been heard from the Tavares camp but judging by the showing they made with the short
training period they have had, last week's "champs" should be a greatly improved team.

Leesburg will probably use the following men: Hunt and Cherry at ends, Kane and Stinson as tackles,
Stewart and Hanford as guards, Farrell, center, Hannah, quarter, Barens and Polk, at half and Bivens,
full.
