The Leesburg Morning Commercial
Tuesday, November 29, 1927

Unofficially Andrew Jackson and Leesburg, in that order, have the inside track, by virtue of their
unsullied records, with the Terriers trailing somewhere in the rear how far nobody knows. The
Terriers' only chances of fondling the very handsome trophy emblematic of the game in high
school football is to get Andrew Jackson to play a game, postseason or otherwise. Efforts are
being made along this line and Howard Wilsky, athletic director of Tampa schools, was in
conference with the Andrew Jackson mentor at Lakeland. However, Mr. Wilsky declined  to state
whether the game would be played.
