Team Is Good Shape For Last Scheduled Fight

Tampa Criticism Makes Little Impression On State Title

This foursome will be flung with full strength upon the strong Sanford aggregation.

In view of the decisive defeat that Sanford marked up against the
Kissimmee team, Banning has
left no stone unturned in search for weak spots, and is preparing to meet the stiffest competition
since the Plant City game.

Tampa newspaper comment continues to show a disposition to make light of Leesburg's
Yellowjackets, despite their gallant all season string of victories over their regularly scheduled
competitors. But the fact remains that Leesburg's team stands undefeated, whatever its
opponents abilities, and stands as a companion team with
Andrew Jackson, undefeated ready to
fight it out for state championship honors.

No argument, as seen locally by those who know the real football merits of the "Stingers," can beat
the argument of an undefeated team over a season of hard play. If Leesburg defeats Sanford on
Thanksgiving Day, then Leesburg will have come through its season unbeaten and a challenger
for state honors. Defeated teams at Tampa or elsewhere are still defeated teams, no matter what
their present strength. It takes a winning team to win-a losing team can point to a loss better than
to a probable win over the top team of the state-Leesburg or Andrew Jackson..
