"Stingers" Work Hard To Get In Shape For Game

Montverde Coming And Who Gets In Line Is Unsettled

LEESBURG - Leesburg Yellowjackets went through the final scrimmage yesterday afternoon on the
school grounds in preparation for the opening game of the season with
Montverde which will be
played on Cooke Field tomorrow at 4 p.m.
Coach Banning stated that his squad was in fine condition
and much further advanced in technique than when they started the season last year. "I am not too
optimistic though for the men have a number of faults that must be eradicated before they start the
hard games of the season if they are going to have a successful season.

Capt. Ling has proved to be a find as a signal caller and tomorrow's game will be a test of his ability
as a field general. The backfield looks heavy and fast.
Jenkins has developed into a hard hitting line
plunger and fast on plays around the ends.
Eddie Cahill is a regular African Dodger and if there is a
semblance of a hole in the opponents line, he wiggles through for a nice gain.

The line-up for the stonewall defense for tomorrow is a matter of guess work for Coach Banning has
so much good material to choose from that it is a toss up as to who will start the game. Baldwin at
tackle seems a certainty as does
Milam and Moore at guard but the center position and the ends may
be occupied by any one of a number of men. Roundtree,
Brown and McInnis will probably all get a
chance at the wing jobs and either
Smith or Williams will probably start at center. Entz is a practical
certainty at tackle but there are several others who may get a chance.
