But the line of Leesburg was a wall of iron. Time and time again this "Big Red Team"  tried the center,
only to fall thwart Roller Moore, Joe Jenkins, and the others, who stood the visitors still or bounced
them for losses. With one minutes to go, the Jackson team put on prep and tried hard to even the score
but no use.

The detailed scoring appended tells the story of the game.

Down at Cooke Field a mass of 2,500 people and 500 automobiles crowded the park, Enthusiasm ran
high, with two bands the Leesburg school band and the Jackson band opposite each other and
alternating with lively tunes Cheerleaders went half frantic.

There were two notable men of the sports pages from the state present John "Red" Davis of DeLand,
chairman of the All-Southern football board, and sports editor of the DeLand News and A. A.
Finnebrock of the Florida Times Union, down front Jacksonville to see what he called "the best game"
of the season.
