"In Joe Jenkins, Leesburg has a player who is going to bring further glory to the city when he
matriculates at the college of his choice. But in singing the praises of Jenkins, it would be rank injustice
to overlook the remaining members of that potential state championship team. Starting with Captain
Entz and Eddie Cahill one needs only to list each of the eleven men who played through that gruelling
struggle yesterday to name the stars of the Yellow Jackets.

"The keys of the city should be presented to the Yellow Jackets, and no doubt this will be done, for they
have done something which others have attempted and failed-trying to live up to a wonderful
reputation. One could shout their praises without end, but Daniel Webster failed to provide sufficient
adjectives to properly describe the team which last night earned the right to call itself the state
champions.

Said Ray C. Dickson, coach of the "Big Red Team:"

"I wish to express my appreciation of the splendid hospitality extended us while in Leesburg.

"Leesburg has a powerful team and deserves the respect and admiration of the whole state.
