In the Sanford game the passing attack was the best of the year.

The Jackets second touchdown was made by John Hart on a line plunge for six yards, also in the first
half. In the second half, Broadway again scored. This time on a double reverse good for 25 yards and
a touchdown, while Charles Harvey chalked up the final t.d. on a weak side play and a 40 yard rush.

Sanford was unable to score during the first half but put on a determined drive in the opening
moments of the second half and fought up the field doggedly for 70 yards with but one 15 yard pass to
ease the heavy ground fighting. Their second touchdown came after another determined drive when
Coach Steffens had his reserves on the field. It was the cleanest game of the season.
