Jackets vs Bulldogs On Elks Card

By Sports Staff
The Leesburg Commercial-Ledger
Sunday, November 28, 1954

Plans have been completed and everything is in readiness for the third annual Elks football classic
here Friday night in the Leesburg Memorial Stadium when the fighting and untied and unbeaten
Bulldogs of St. Cloud are pitted with the Leesburg Yellow Jackets.

Despite Leesburg's four-four record for the season, this promises to be the most interesting game
here this year. Coaches of both  squads report their charges are fired up and each is confident of
victory. Regardless of the outcome of the game, win or lose for either team, the game is being played
for a most worthy cause. All proceeds will go to the Harry-Anna Crippled Children's home at Umatilla.
This game last year resulted in more than #1,100 being raised for this cause.

The Bulldogs have an impressive record for the season. The 1954 record.
