Leesburg vs St. Cloud, High School Football Game

St. Cloud Trounces Leesburg 36 to 12 In Elks Bowl Annual
Charity Game Here

St. Cloud's Ray Tyson and the Partin brothers were just too much for the Yellow Jackets in Friday night's
Elks bowl game here as they fell by the wayside 36-12. Tyson, outstanding tackle for the Bulldogs, was
in on most of the tackles for St. Cloud as the Yellow Jacket offense was completely stymied.

Joltin Jim Grigsby, who has been Leesburg; most consistent ground gainer, was able to gain only 38
yards during the entire game due to St. Cloud's deep penetrating defense.

Henry and Doug Partin bit off sizeable chunks of yardage on each carry behind the deadly accurate
blocking of the well coached Bulldog line.

The first score came early in the game when Ray Tyson broke through the Jacket line to tackle
Richardson in the end zone on an attempted punt.

With two minutes left in the first quarter the Jackets were again forced to kick, this time on the 18-yard
line and again the fast charging Bulldog line broke through to block and recover the kick on the Jacket
10. Partin carried to the five from where Godwin scored. Doug Partin went into the end zone untouched
for the point and St. Cloud lead 9-0.     1   of   2     Next
