Penalties derailed the Yellow Jackets all night. They were penalized 13 times for 125 yards
including 6 pass interference calls giving East Ridge six automatic first downs.

Senior running back Emmanuel Nelson came into the game with 43 carries for 312 and five
touchdowns. He was averaging 7.2 yards per carry. The Knights defense held him to 16 carries for
34 yards and no touchdowns Friday. Junior running back Anthony Miller came into the game with
147 yards on 19 carries and three touchdowns. Against East Ridge Miller had 1 carry for 1 yard

The Jackets used the halfback pass twice one for a touchdown the other one  was intercepted.

There was plenty of media at this game. The Orlando Sentinel's High School sports guru Buddy
Collings and Daily Commercial Sports Editor Frank Jolley were in attendance Friday. There were
several college scouts on hand to see some of the best high school football players in the nation.

Randy Bergen broke off four runs for over 21 yards in second half. He had runs of 54, 54, and 38
yards after the half keeping East Ridge drives alive.

East Ridge's defense has come up big in the secondary all year long. They had four picks in the
second half against the Yellow Jackets. In their previous two wins they ended the game with a game
ending interception.

Under Armour All-American OLB Noor Davis was missed on both sides of the football. He normally
plays tight end in the Jackets two tight end offensive sets. His blocking was missed in the Jackets
running game, which gained only 35 yards on the night. They had gained over 200 yards per game
