LEESBURG - The last time the Mount Dora Hurricanes visited Leesburg Memorial Field at Hubert O.
Dabney Stadium they had 61 points scored on them. The Hurricanes had lost the last two meeting
against Leesburg and came into the game with a chip on their shoulder. Leesburg sporting their new
jerseys got off to another slow start something that has haunted them all season long. RB-DB Jordan
Porter (Jr., 5-8, 160) scored the go ahead touchdown on a 13 yard run with 6:42 left in the game to
upset the Class 7A Jackets 16-13 last night.

Mount Dora may have caught the Jackets looking ahead to this week's game against Clermont East
Ridge. The loss is the first for Yellow Jackets
3rd year head coach Randy Trivers against a school in a
lower classification than Leesburg. The Jackets hadn't been beat at home since the 2010 season.

Leesburg had taken a 13-9 lead with 8:09 left in the game. Mount Dora took the ensuing kickoff and QB
Bryant Mosher (Jr., 6-4, 200) marched the offense down field and went ahead in the game off of Porter's
touchdown run. Mosher's performance against the Black Jackets defense was superb all night.

The Jackets defense never got untracked and has started slowly in all three games this season.
Without
D'Mauri Jones (University of Miami, FL) the Jackets vertical passing game has been
non-existence. The Jackets offense has had to rely on screen pass and quick slants to generate any
offense. A lack of a running game once again hurt the Jackets, making the play action pass ineffective.
The Jackets have had a back rush for a 100 yards any game this season.

After the late Mount Dora score Leesburg started the next drive form it's 13 yard line with 6:42 left in the
contest. The Jackets offense sputtered going three and out and the game was virtually over at that time.
The loss is only the third loss to a Lake County team in the Randy Trivers era at Leesburg.

Leesburg 2-1 (0-0) opens its 2012 Class 7A District 4 schedule next week when Clermont East Ridge
visits Hubert O. Dabney Stadium.

Mount Dora improves it record to (2-1, 0-0) and will travel to Bushnell next week to open up its Class 4A
District 4 Schedule against South Sumter High School at Raider Field.
