LEESBURG - The Leesburg Yellow Jackets agreed that Central Florida's best defense would be on
display Friday night at H. O. Dabney Field. They just disagreed with the idea that the defense belonged
to
Sanford Seminole.

While Leesburg's inspired defense overwhelmed Seminole, the Jackets' offense methodically moved
the ball against a team that had previously yielded just 120 yards per game. The complete dominance
resulted in a 28-0 victory for Leesburg that gave the Yellow Jackets the Class 4A-District 7 title.

The way they did it might not have been exciting, but the result was thrilling to a town that had waited 21
years for a title. It was equally sweet to Leesburg's seniors, who had endured disappointment in
postseason tiebreaker's the two previous years.
