Max Wettstein Signs Pact With AFL Denver Broncos

Leesburg's Max Wettstein, Florida State football star, has been signed as a free agent by the Denver
Broncos of the American Football League, according to a Wednesday announcement from Denver.

Wettstein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Wettstein of South Ninth Street, was an All-Florida college player as
tight end. The six foot, three inch Leesburg High School graduate weighs 217 pounds, and is 21 years
old.

A senior physical education major, Max serve as a captain of the FSU Seminole squad. Missing three
season performances due to illness, Wettstein left a season record of 24 passes caught for 365 yards
and three touchdowns.

Throughout his college career Wettstein has been a top student at Florida State. He was tapped by two
honor societies, Gold Key, and OKD., A leadership Fraternity A. A consistent appearance on the Dean;s
list has followed him, and he has carried a high three point average.
