Reddick Williams, Leesburg, became the Player of the Year at last night’s ALL-AREA FOOTBALL
TEAM's annual dinner sponsored jointly by the DAILY COMMERCIAL and the CITIZENS NATIONAL
BANK of Leesburg.

Named to Coach of the Year was Tom Comer of Eustis High School and Randy Reynolds of Tavares
who acted as punter and place-kicker who handled the kickoffs and extra points as well as field goal
attempts for his team was named Kicker of the Year.

For general overall excellence of his action photography during the football season, staffer Wayne
Wicker of the DAILY COMMERCIAL received the designation as Photographer of the Year.

Players, coaches and principals along with other invited guests were welcomed to the affair by Charlie
Strickland on behalf of the CITZENS NATIONAL BANK and Loyd B. Kussman, publisher of the DAILY
COMMERCIAL who named the ALL-AREA TEAM.

Speaker of the evening was Jack Friedrich, executive secretary of the Leesburg Chamber of
Commerce and an active official for Florida High School Activities Association.

The Player of the year was introduced in an unusual manner as portions of this game films had been
edited by his coach Max Wettstein, Jr. who narrated for the occasion. Both Williams and Comer
received a framed certificate and a wrist watch as mementos of the evening.
