Leesburg Boys Named To '65 All-Conference Team

Two Leesburg High School football players were among twenty-two conference boys named to the
1965 Orange Belt All-Conference team, according to a Thursday announcement by conference officials.

Stanley Himelsbaugh and Gary Semanchik were among those named, Himelsbaugh as a guard, and
Semanchik as a back.

The sportsmanship trophy also went to Leesburg, and head Coach Melvin K. (Whitey) Smith.

Wildwood led the list with six members of the all-conference team; Apopka and Kissimmee each had
four: Lakeview and Lyman each had three; and DeLand one.
