Eight Seniors Played Last Game Friday night.

By J. H. Polatty
The Leesburg Ledger
Thursday, December 14, 1934

Brady, Pennington, and Oxford each made the first string conference team and Johnston was picked for
the second string of this team.

Pennington made the All Southern Team which is the highest award a high school player may obtain.

Each and every one of the boys were a real credit to the team and it is careers like theirs that make other
boys strive to copy them. These boys will be greatly missed by the teams in the future but their
accomplishments will never be forgotten. Their teammates that they are leaving behind join with the rest
of the school in wishing them success in whatever they may enter.
