Expenses Of The Football Team

Explained by Coach Hayes in Assembly

It seems that some people have the idea that the money taken in from the football games go to several
individuals. If this is true, then who do they think pay for these needed items:

Shoes, $5.85 per pair, 20 to 22 pairs.
Pants, $8.50 per pair, 20 to 22 pairs.
Shoulder pads, $3 per pair, 20 to 22 pairs.
Jerseys, $3 per pair, 20 to 22 pair.
Head gear $7 each 20 to 22.
Lighting equipment $50 per year.
Ball $7, and there is a different one for every game.
Officials $17 per game.
Posters, $20 per season.
Telegrams ?
Upkeep of the field $50.
Medical equipment $100.
Tackling dummy $30, 2 years.
Membership for the Northeast conference $6.
Florida Athletic association $8.

The total expenses are about $1,-016.26 per year. The gate receipts amount to about $1,000 per year.
If there is any extra money it goes to help pay our back debts, which amount to $700 three years ago
when Mr. Hayes came here as coach, and now they are $400.
As the Landon game the game receipts were $294.
Including the season tickets, the total grass gate receipts were $325.

After the expenses were paid and Landon was given $125 for coming here, Leesburg cleared about $125.
If the people will only support our other games as well as they did the Landon game, they will not only be
backing our team, but they will be helping us to pay off the $450 that we owe.
