Well the heartbreaking news appears again. The Leesburg Yellow Jackets suffered their third straight
loss Friday night at the hands of the Lakeview Red Devils by a score of 25-13. The Yellow Jackets
outplayed them and were leading them 13-12 at the half but the Yellow Jackets just couldn't stop them
in the second half.

Leesburg kicked off to Lakeview to open the game James Spradly broke through the Jackets defense
and romped to pay dirt. Tommy Milam chased him and made a diving tackle but it was too late After the
Red Devils had kicked off to Leesburg the Jackets fought their way to the Lakeview 10 yard line where
Tommy Milam scored on an end run. Buddy Laborde's try for point was no good making the score 6-6.

The Yellow Jackets then kicked off to Lakeview. After the Jackets had held them for 3 downs the Red
Devils went into punt formation. The ball was centered and Jimmy Tichenor broke through the line and
blocked the ball with his stomach.

Leesburg then moved toward pay dirt behind the hard driving legs of fullback Eddie Parker. After Eddie
had carried the ball over and over again he finally broke loose and scored. This time Buddy LaBorde
made his kick for the point good and the score read 13-6 in favor of the Leesburg Yellow Jackets.

After Leesburg had kicked off again the Red Devils fought back and Miner went over for the score The try
for point was no good and Leesburg led 13-12 at the half time.     1   of   3     Next
