HERE ARE TWO MORE SHOTS OF THE STRUGGLE WITH
SANFORD:

By Sports Staff
The Daily Commercial
October 4, 1955

In the top picture Tommy Milam, Buddy LaBorde and Jack Hewitt are in the thick of action as the
Jackets drive for a TD. Jimmy Johnson is charging up from the right. Andy Miller has his face buried in
the dirt, and Bill Pelt is surrounded to the left of the picture.

In the lower photograph another effort is smothered in the drive. Ivan Roberts is nearest to the pile-up,
Tommy Milam and Herbert Burton are coming up on the right and Buddy LaBorde is further off to the
right with some of the Celery Eaters. Buddy Lindsey is on the ground and so is Jimmy Johnson.
Photos by Jimmy Johnson.
