Auburndale will face the Leesburg Yellow Jackets in Leesburg. Friday night in the first round of the State
Class A playoffs.

Auburndale has a record of six wins and four losses. Their record is a bit misleading, three of their defeats
have been at the hands of strong Class AA teams. Winter Haven, Lakeland Kathleen (believed by many to
be the strongest team in the State), and Plant City. The only Class A team to beat Auburndale was
Wachulla and this was in the last game of the season.

Passing and using a multiple offense are Auburndale's mode of attack. "They are quick and lanky, much
like the Tigers of Columbia High (Lake City)," says Leesburg's Head Coach Wilbur Lofton.
