TALLAHASSEE (AP) - Florida State will put its new flexible T offense and a talented crop of newcomers
on public display tonight in its Garnet-Gold Spring intrasquad football game.

The contest will give FSU fans their first peek at the brand of football cooked up by coach Bill Peterson,
the former Louisiana State assistant coach who replaced Perry Moss.

Peterson has said he's still shooting for a three unit team such as LSU employed in becoming a
national gridiron power, But division of the personnel won't permit its use tonight in the intrasquad
game.

Of the 66 players who''' perform in the Garnet-Gold affair, 43 are sophomores. Among them are some of
the biggest and most talented yet to perform with FSU.

The opposing quarterbacks will be junior letterman Roy Bickford and sophomore Charles Alexander, a
promising Texan who has shown considerable prowess as a passer.

Five players are not expected to play because of injuries which have sidelined them this Spring. They
are letterman end Tony Romo who had a knee operation after the 1959 season, lettermen halfbacks
Ken Cone and Don Mustain, end George Ehlers and guard Jim Sims.

A sixth injured player, sophomore quarterback Eddie Feely of Gainesville, has been sidelined with a
bruised leg most of the Spring but may see some action.

Among the promising newcomers Peterson will be looking over will be center Larry Hood and fullback
Ed Parker, transfers from Coffeeyville, Kan, junior college halfback Al Boccassio, a former West Pointer,
and sophomores Happy Fick, a halfback, Gene McDowell a guard, and Lamar Lee, an end.
