At Stetson, Brown will become part of the school’s third season of football as the Hatters continue to
build its program in the NCAA’s Football Championship Subdivision, formerly known as Division I-AA.

Brown likely will see at least four familiar faces when he walks into the locker room at Stetson for the
first time. A quartet of former area standouts played for the Hatters in 2014 — South Sumter’s Bo
Farmer and Devyn Jessmer, and East Ridge running back Jerami Singleton and his high school
teammate, defensive tackle Anthony Ryals.

Despite suffering through a winless season, East Ridge has four players signing with a variety of
schools today. This is the largest signing class for the Knights since longtime coach Bud O’Hara and
his staff were at the school. During O’Hara’s 11-year stint with the Knights, which ended after the 2012
season, East Ridge had 49 student-athletes sign with some of the nation’s most prestigious college
football programs, ranging from Notre Dame (Richard Jackson in 2006) to Ohio State (Chimdi
Chekwa, also in 2006).

Kicker/placekicker Zach Block will sign with Tulane, defensive back Zach Honnold has agreed to attend
the Air Force Academy, nose guard Jonathan “JP” Powell will sign with Webber International and
defensive lineman Hunter Braland is expected to sign with Ave Maria University in Ave Maria.

Tulane and the Air Force Academy are NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision schools. Webber International
and Ave Maria University are NAIA schools.
