BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — Warner moved to 2-0 for the first time in school history with a 42-21 road win
against Union.

The Royals used two fourth-quarter touchdowns to turn a 28-21 game into a three-touchdown victory.
Royals quarterback D.J. Davis found tight end Trey Schley for a 9-yard touchdown and then Jarrod
Lindsey finished the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run. Both scores came after Union turnovers as
the Royals forced five mistakes, three fumbles and two interceptions. On the year, Warner has now
forced 11 turnovers after getting six last week in a 34-3 win over Concordia to open the season.

Bryant Benton led Warner on the ground with 107 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns, which
helped the Royals get out to a 28-7 halftime lead. Davis went 11-for-18 for 197 yards and two
touchdown. He also threw a score to Roger Allen in the first half.

Warner returns to Polk County next week for a home game against Southeastern University at Vikings
Stadium in Lakeland. The game will be the Sun Conference opener for both teams.
