Towson University after his senior season he has been able to be in the National spotlight. Tonight
Peppers will once again be on the National stage as Towson will be playing against its second FBS
opponent of the season and its sixth FBS opponent all-time when Towson visits LSU.
Peppers says he and his teammates will prepare for this game just like it would do for any other opponent.
"Honestly you don't do anything different, the field is still 100 yards long and a touchdown is still worth 6
points," said Peppers from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. "They put their pants on the same way we do."
Although this is Towson’s sixth game against an FBS team, it is the first time the Black and Gold has
played a nationally-ranked FBS team.
Earlier in the season, Towson played at Kent State and lost to the Golden Flashes, 41-21

Coach Rob Ambrose and his team believe that they can pull off the upset and that has been the mood
around Towson this week. The Tiger nation is very excited about the chance display Towson football to
the rest of the nation.
"Our mood how been excited because this is a great experience," Peppers said.
That meeting will take place on Saturday night in Baton Rouge, La. when the Tigers take on #3 LSU from
Tiger Stadium (capacity 92,542) at 7p.m. ET on ESPNU.
After posting back-to-back home victories over William & Mary and St. Francis (Pa.), Coach Rob Ambrose
and the Tiger football team will face the biggest challenge in the 44-year history of the Towson football
program when they visit national power Louisiana State University in Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on
Saturday, September 29 at 7 p.m. (EDT).
"We have to be sound on all phases of the game, we have to just play well from the start, we can't start off
slow, Peppers said.
“I have spent a number of hours watching film on LSU,” says Coach Ambrose. “I’ve been watching them
on offense, defense and special teams and I’ve been looking for any holes I can find. I can’t find any.
“This is the most athletically-talented, technically-sound football team I’ve ever seen on film,” he added.
“Obviously, this is going to be quite a challenge for us."
This has been a big weekend for the Peppers family, with RJ playing at Death Valley against the #3
ranked FBS team in the country. His brother Ben Peppers was named homecoming king at Leesburg last
night and helped lead them to a 35-7 win over St. Cloud. They will gathered around the television
watching RJ play in one of the biggest games in a while for a former Jacket.
"The mood of my family is excited and proud, I am so happy he won last night," Peppers said. "I called him
and congratulated him last night.
"I have been sending pictures to them of this experience. "Since its homecoming in Leesburg, they are
going to stay there since its Ben's senior year, which is fine with me." "They will all be gathered around, I
have been getting text and calls from every one saying they will be watching it."
Former Yellow Jacket Standout R.J. Peppers and his Towson University conducted a
